Hello Everyone!! Well I’d just like to say how thankful I am to have been taken in by the Generation Green and Acorn Café family 😊 It’s incredibly inspiring and humbling to be around people who not only share my same passions but take steps everyday to make those passions a reality. I’ve been asking myself more and more lately how I can be more earth friendly. It’s really easy, I find, to get caught up in the rhythm of everyday life and forget to think about these things… but one thing I’ve really been encouraging myself to be more conscious of is the waste that I’m producing. For a few years now, I’ve been taking small steps in reducing my waste, from composting to using cloth grocery and produce bags. But by no means am I waste free (nor am I very close to being waste free, yet!). That’s really the beauty of Generation Green and Acorn Cafe… they make going green so easy!! I really love that I can come into work at Acorn Café and see compost bins full to the brim with compostable packaging! I love seeing people come into the store and fill up their reusable bottles with anything from lentils to natural cleaning products! And I’m really going to enjoy being that girl that gets people cloth bread bags or glass straws for their birthdays!! Anyway, I could go on and on about how awesome Generation Green and Acorn café is but I’ll let you come see for yourself (and make sure you come get a dairy-free latte or some locally made treats for the browse)! Woo!
