MB Food Fest
Jun 9 @ 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Generation Green is excited to be one of the organizers for a new Manitoba food and beverage event coming up on June 9th! Partnering with Shawn Brandson, the owner of Promenade Cafe & Wine, and our good bud, Kevin Burgin from CJOB’s “The Main Ingredient”  had all the makings needed for an event we are now calling the  “MB FOOD FEST”

It’s all happening at the historic Fort Gibraltar on Sunday, June 9th from 2-6pm.  NOTE: Our Presale Tickets are sold out but regular tickets are still available so don’t delay in getting yours! For our Generation Green followers, use this link to get a $5 discount.

The admission price includes samples of Winnipeg Craft Beers, Wines from Winnipeg Private Wine stores and Food samples from Local Manitoba Food Producers. Enjoy fundraising efforts for Festival Du Voyageur (throw some axes, fire a musket or try a little leg wrestling!) Your ticket also gets you entry to our “MB Black Box Cookoff” which will showcase Red River culinary students competing before a panel of judges using Manitoba ingredients.

We are really excited about the lineup of vendors we have to showcase and to see all our hard work come to be! We hope you will come out and support out local food and beverage developers and enjoy this fun filled festival! All for “The Love Of Food”

Block Therapy is a therapy, exercise, and meditation combined! With the aid of the Block Buddy, which is a handcrafted cedar block that fits the contours of the body & is able to sink deeply into the body, warming the connective tissue, releasing restrictions and improving blood flow.

Other reported benefits of block therapy are that it improves circulation and lymphatic drainage, releases toxins, speeds healing of acute injuries, improves the appearance of skin and hair, and reduces cellulite.

Heather will be on hand after the class to answer any questions and if we have enough ongoing interest then we can make this a permanent weekly class. To learn more about Block Therapy visit

Wildflower Project Pop-Up – Holding Space Yoga With Intention Class
Jul 21 @ 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Holding Space

We all have our struggles. Our internal battles and our questioning.
By stilling our minds we allow our inner-self to have a voice. We just need to listen.
Through asana, or yoga poses, we create a stillness in both our body and mind. We create a moment where we can surrender to our body’s wisdom. We use the shape to get into our body and to start listening.

This yoga workshop will focus on creating a strong and stable foundation, rooting into the earth while finding length throughout the body. By concentrating on our foundation we are able to build a stronger base that allows us to better handle the challenges that life brings us.

Tiffany (RYT 200) first began practicing yoga in 2010 and since then it has become an essential part of her life. Coming into yoga through her journey with anxiety, she has felt yoga’s ability to heal.  She believes that everyone has the ability to practice yoga and that the world would be a better place if everyone felt its experience.
